The Other Plays of the Year
May 13th
Over the past couple of weeks, most of you have enjoyed revisiting the good memories of this past season in voting for the Leafspace Play of the Year on Leafspace.com, courtesy of your third and fourth favourite tweeps Leafspace Monika and Steve Dangle (obviously I’m your favourite and Jeff is your second favourite).
But as it stands, all of the plays have been revealed and now it’s just a little playoffs, or luck of the draw as far as actually proceeding through the rounds goes. Not that it really matters, because we all know Tyler Bozak’s first NHL goal is gonna end up winning anyways.
But um, anyways, my question to you is what plays do you think they forgot? What were your favourite moments from this past Leafs season that weren’t mentioned on Leafspace? There were a few that stood out to me, so I’ll put them below, and if you think of any yourselves let us know in the comments.
Remembrance Day. November 11th, 2009. Lest We Forget.
Nov 11th
A Pittance of Time – Terry Kelly
^Very touching song. In celebration of Remembrance Day. In Flanders Fieldsby John McCrae, May 1915

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
The ever famous poem. Remembrance Day is almost here. I hope you all are grateful to be living today in Canada. I know I am.. especially since I’m Chinese and immigrated here. Ever since I studied about our veterans, I was emotionally touched. Ever Remembrance Day for the past 5 years had been very touching for me. I hope everyone will be wearing the ever-famous poppy. Lest we forget. However, don’t forget. Without our veterans, the Blue and White or maybe other Canadian teams wouldn’t have existed until now.
P.S So sorry about recently, not blogging. I fell into a depression with homework, amount of sleep and the Leafs. I ll try and be positive and blog here and Leafspace for the Black Hawks game. I have only had 3 hours of sleep for the past 3 days. Sorry.
P.P.S Follow me on Twitter, TMLeaf4Ever; same with Leafspace!
LEST WE FORGET!
